Have you ever taken a scroll through MLS and cringed at the pictures of some homes? …I sure have - more times than I would like to admit. Would you even bother spending the time to see the house, even if the price was right? Doubtful.

Staging your home is no longer optional in today’s competitive market, like ours in the Greater Toronto Area. Yes, some homes need a little more care than others - but everyone could use some love. Staging is cost effective, starting at a few hundred dollars, and it can take less than a day. Stagers redesign and style your home for far less than the cost of a professional designer.

Staging is an effective market technique to make a home appeal to the largest range if potential buyers. But don’t just listen to my advise…these numbers don’t lie…

The “WOW factor” buyers feel when walking into a staged home is the goal. Now, many homes sell in no time in a hot market - but what about those luxury homes that sit on the market for what seems like forever? The mortgage is still being paid, along with bills, taxes, etc. That can equal thousands of dollars. Stage it. Sell it fast. Move on. Less headaches - now who doesn’t want that?!?

3. Most sellers cannot view their homes objectively.

Let’s face it - life happens. Garages get cluttered, kids scribble on walls, closets explode. Don’t sweat it, that’s where professional stagers and organizers like us come in. It’s our thing. I finally convinced him to let me conduct a consultation with a Homeowner’s Report with a few of his clients and he was HOOKED. They listened, cooperated, and felt excited about the journey to prepare they home for the market. Best of all - his stress levels decreased substantially. He and other realtors will attest, home staging is worth every penny. Needless to say, we still have a wonderful working relationship =)
